Nestled in a picturesque valley, the Twin Creek Ranch is a real working cattle ranch that welcomes folks who want to live the cowboy life. Guests get to participate and do things the ranch cowboys do in their everyday life. The Twin Creek Ranch places emphasis on beef production instead of swimming pools & golf courses. We run 2,000 cows, so you get lot's of roundup riding. Catching and saddling your horse at sun-up, you may cover miles of open range checking cattle. You will also get to ride on spring or fall round-up and help put the Three Quarter Circle brand on the calves in the tradition of the open range. Horses play an important role in ranch life and you'll have the opportunity for unlimited riding. Prior riding experience is mandatory and the ranch has a wide range of saddle horses to match your experience level. The cowboys will provide individual attention to each rider and no matter how much you've ridden before, you'll have the chance to improve your riding skills. Cutting, reining & working cow horse fundamentals are available from Tony Malmberg, rancher and horseman. The Twin Creek Ranch was owned by the Malmberg family up until the mid 1980's. The reins were then handed over to Tony Malmberg who now runs the day-to-day ranch operations with his wife, Andrea, hired hand, PeeWee Wesaw and partners. One partner, Jim Allen, lives on a nearby ranch and handles guest scheduling and bookings for the Twin Creek Ranch vacations. He and his wife Mary supply the ranch horses and frequently ride with the Twin Creek Ranch guests & cowboys. Tony and Andrea practice holistic management and use innovative techniques to convert grass into beef while enhancing the quality of the ranch's land and wildlife habitat. Tony and Andrea have a wonderful knack for involving guests in the excitement of land stewardship ... from the back of a good, ranch raised horse out on the open range. We run nearly 2,000 head of cattle on over 35,000 acres. So if you have a hankerin'
to join the round-up, call Jim. Time's a Wastin'!
