Saddle up and join the Allen's LONG RIDER PACK TRIP, a "learning by doing" wilderness experience in Wyoming's famous Wind River Mountain Range. This high mountain wilderness pack trip is designed to teach the necessary horse packing skills enabling the graduate to actively seek employment with an outfitter, agency or to pack on his or her own with family and friends.

You will be doing your own cooking, cleaning, tent pitching, saddling, packing and other tasks since this is a participation trip. The guides will always be with you to lend a helpful hand, give tips and lead the party. We invite you to share the unspoiled and magnificent Wind River Mountains in your fun-filled LONG RIDER PACK TRIP!

Itinerary Sunday Aug 19- Arrive at the Diamond 4 Ranch for evening meal and lodging. Monday Aug 20 - Horse packing classes and trip preparation. Tue Aug 21 - Fri Aug 24 -Moving camps in the wilderness on Long Rider Pack Trip, with one layover day. Sat Aug 25- Ride back into the ranch, then evening meal/lodging on your own in Lander
